I couldn’t loosen up this heavily rusted bolt even with snug fitting 6 point sockets on either sides.
This 3M “penetrating fluid” is definitely fast acting.
But not necessarily a powerful one at it’s penetrating capabilities. Cause the job done by it shown on the pictures should be really easy for a dedicated penetrating fluid.
I do also have another stubborn over-torqued lug nut where this 3M penetrating fluid didn’t do much even after consistently soaking the lug nut in this for days whereas the Abro 80 penetrating fluid (actual penetrating fluid, that used to be available on amazon) was able to free it up with one day of soaking. (sprayed once every six hours in a day)
But the Abro 80 does takes it’s time even on smaller and easier jobs. So I Use the Abro 80 for stubborn bolts comprmissing with the time and use this 3M “penetrating fluid” for a really quick release on the go.
